During this tour, your Licensed Tour Guide will take you first to the Orsay Museum originally designed as a railway station for the Universal Exhibition in 1900, this superb turn-of-the-century building reopened its doors in 1986 as the Musée d’Orsay. The new museum was set up to present each of the arts of the period from 1848 to 1914. The collection is housed on three levels. The highlight of this museum is the outstanding collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works of art. Including masterpieces of Monet, Manet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Degas, Cezanne and Neo-impressionists such as Seurat, Lautrec and Gauguin.
Then enjoy a nice little stroll in the Tuilerie Garden and get to see the best Paris perspective that goes from the Louvre Museum up to La Defense district before entering to the Orangerie to discover another great collection of Impressionism with 360 panoramic views of Claude Monet’s Water lilies.
